X10 Column on MSDN Coding for Fun

Yeah, no blogging in a while.  Oh, well...

I was real happy to see Tony Northrup's DIY column on X10 Hacking.  For anyone who's not familiar, X10 is a set of technologies that allow you to remotely control electrical appliances in your home.  The “remote control“ can be a univeral A/V remote, a PC with scheduling software, even a touchtone phone.  This video does a great job of explaining what X10 is, how it can be useful, and shows some easy ways to hook some x10 items up in your home.  No code though; I hope that's coming soon.

I think the whole Coding4Fun area of MSDN is pretty cool and had been waiting for something like this to come along.  I'd even been considering posting something about x10 coding up here for a while, but just never got around to it.

But, this has given me a bit of inspiration to post some info on Tivo hacking.  Stay tuned for that.  :)
